The Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) is a standardized test administered by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Education Testing Council (ETC) in Pakistan for the award of all HEC scholarships and for admission in MS/MPhil/PhD programs. The test score remains valid for 2 years.
Purpose:
HAT aims to ensure merit-based admissions and identify high-potential candidates for graduate programs in public and private universities in Pakistan. It is also used to screen applicants for various international HEC scholarship programs, such as
- Learning Opportunities Abroad
- Overseas Scholarships with Partner Universities
- Faculty Development Program (FDP) Overseas scholarships
